at it again

When I was in high school I bought a huge bucket of beads, I wasn't sure what I planned to do with them, but I was smitten. So I began making jewelery. I could write for a long time about how my obsession with beads grew, how I bought them every and any chance I had, how I made necklaces for every possible outfit combination I could think of and so on. But let's fast forward a few years to when I began college, got married at 19 (yeah, kinda crazy), graduated and began teaching full time, moved from MA to SC, moved back to MA from SC and had two adorable little boys one year apart, then moved back to SC again. So it's present time and I found a box in our garage that hadn't been opened since 2005. I opened it up, and staring back at me was large, unorganized, yet beautiful collection of beads. I think I screamed, or said something that scared JD, but either way I was delighted. And so I began beading again and I can't stop. This latest creation is a style I've been partial to these weeks and it's a belated gift for a friend of mine. I hope she likes it :)
