Our nap times have been somewhat sporadic these days (not good).
Mitchell hasn't napped for a while now, but he sometimes fall asleep late in the day, which causes him to stay up waaaay too late. Once he falls asleep for a nap, he can't be woken up. I know someone else who like to take naps, and falls asleep hard and fast. Although in my defense, I think I'm a little bit narcoleptic, so let's not get in to that.
Landon has been going into his room for nap time around 1:30 everyday, but for about a week has not been falling asleep and instead, out of boredom, strips himself of all clothing. and diapers.
Today I decided to implement a rest time for both boys from 1-2. This would ensure that mama has some alone time to nap, err I mean, do the dishes. And also that both boys had the opportunity to nap (even if they didn't fall asleep) and we wouldn't have any ruined bedtime routines or have any bare, unpotty-trained bottoms.
It worked! The boys stayed in their room playing quietly without putting up a fight and I was able to get a few things done (really, I did).
Around 4 o'clock, Mitchell asked to watch the "Muppets go to Space" (we are on a big space kick over here). I obliged, and went to do more dishes. Upon returning I found my well-rested boys, fast asleep...
Maybe the rest time in separate rooms will work better next time...
OMG, that's too cute!!!!!!! LOVE the picture, I would love a copy :)
